Diablo 4 recently began a new Twitch Drop campaign featuring the Hewer’s Halberd Polearm, but players have less than 24 hours to earn it. By watching two hours of any Diablo 4 streamer on Twitch before September 26 at 9 AM PT, fans can add this cosmetic to their inventories.
On September 23, Diablo 4 released Season 10, Infernal Chaos. This exciting update introduces some major changes to the game, including new Chaos Armor and Perks to provide temporary character power, Chaos Rifts that summon powerful foes, and permanent improvements to Infernal Hordes.
How to Get Diablo 4 Season 10 Twitch Drops
As it often does with major releases, Diablo 4 is holding a Twitch Drop campaign to celebrate the new season, but players don’t have long to earn it this time. The Hewer’s Halberd, a cosmetic Polearm that can be used by Barbarians, Druids, and Spiritborn from Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred, can be earned by watching two hours of any Diablo 4 streamers on Twitch. However, fans only have until 9 AM PT on September 26 to claim it, giving them less than a day from press time to snag this freebie.
- Connect one’s Battle.net and Twitch accounts.
- Watch any Twitch channels in the Diablo 4 category from now through September 26 at 8:59 AM PT for two hours to earn the Hewer’s Halberd Polearm cosmetic.
- The weapon is usable by Barbarians, Druids, and Spiritborn
- Claim the drop from the Twitch inventory page.
- The Hewer’s Halberd will automatically be added to the Wardrobe.
It is unclear why Diablo 4 made this Twitch Drop campaign so short. Historically, Diablo 4 has given players at least a week or two to earn Twitch Drops, while in comparison, the Hewer’s Halberd window closes a mere three days after the season’s launch. To make matters worse, an error at the launch of the season caused the campaign to be delayed, and the Twitch campaign lists the event as ending at 9 AM PT, though the official Blizzard blog lists it at 10 AM.
Blizzard could technically extend this campaign or offer the cosmetic again in the future, but there are currently no plans to do so.
Regardless, this probably won’t be the only Diablo 4 Twitch Drop to arrive during Season 10. The second Diablo 4 external IP collab is expected to arrive this season, though it has not yet been formally announced. Diablo 4 had a Twitch Drop as a part of the Berserk collab, so it would not be a surprise to see Blizzard do the same this time.
